Fourth of July

On the fourth of July, the creativeness comes out in colors of red, white and blue when children young and old decorate wagons, tricycles, bikes and themselves with patriotic flags, balloons, and decorations. The parade line starts forming at 9:45 a.m. at the corner of South Woodmont and Sawmill. At 10:00 a.m., with our official police escort, we begin to march & ride towards Wexford park. For those of you who choose not to be in the parade, come out and watch! Once at the park, we enjoy hot dogs, chips and soda. There are also a variety of games to entertain the children. See pictures from last year's fouth of July event.

Garage Sale

Each year in May, Wexford Homeowner's association sponsors an area-wide garage sale. They provide advertising in the local newspapers, signs near the entrances of the neighborhood, and a list of sale sites, along with featured items for sale are provided to each participant prior to the sale, for distribution to customers. This is a great way to get rid of all the stuff that has been piling up in your house or that your children have outgrown. No fees/percentage of sales are required.

2012 event will be held Friday and Saturday,
May 11th and 12th.

All games are played at Wexford Park at either 5:30 p.m. or 6:45 p.m. beginning June 5/6 and concluding July 31/Aug. 1. Each team is scheduled to play eight games.

Coaches: This league has been successful because of the terrific support and involvement from parents. Please consider coaching. It’s a low level of commitment and you typically get a snack after each game.

Registration forms are available online Registration is $30 per child and scholarships are available upon request. The deadline for registration is April 13.

This program only works because of the volunteers. Please consider coaching your son or daughter in this this fun summer activity.

T-Ball This league concentrates on the basics of baseball, teaching the skills and keeping a low-key approach to the game. It is for children entering Kindergarten or First Grade in the fall.

Coach-Pitch This league is a more skilled game, played without a tee, and either a parent or a coach pitches the ball. It is for children entering Second or Third Grade in the fall.
Your child’s grade next fall determines in which league he/she will play. No exceptions will be made.
